20F-4.1 OPTIONAL CRATE ENGINES
20F-4.2 GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
A. GM part number 88958604 is approved for use in competition. Ford part number M-6007-Z351S is approved for use in competition. Dodge crate engines will be allowed as soon as they are available and approved for use in competition. The GM crate engine may be used in Dodge bodied cars. Ford Crate engine can only be used in Ford bodied cars.
B. Engines must remain stock as delivered from the manufacturer, no changes. Rocker arms must be all 1.5 or all 1.6. Harmomic balancer must be original. Timing cover must be original.
C. The #0-80541-1 Holley 650 cfm HP series carburetor is the only carburetor that will be permitted for use with the optional crate engine. Carburetor must remain stock as provided by the manufacturer. Power valve and jets are the only parts that may be changed.
D. One (1) piece open hole paper gasket maximum 0.065 inch thickness that matches the exterior dimensions of the carburetor throttle base plate must be installed between the carburetor and intake manifold, with no air leaks. A one (1) inch spacer will be allowed between the carburetor & intake.
